Meet the Team!

At the core of Blend is family. Richard and Penny formed Blend with their children Natalie, Sam and Josh. Richard brought his 20 years of experience as a chef and Penny her creativity and together they designed the café and restaurant turning cold offices into a warm, friendly place to be. They all helped to knock down walls, paint, decorate and refurbish internally and externally in order to put their own distinct feel on the building.

On opening they were joined by a fantastic team of people. Some had experience in the trade and others were new to catering, consequently time has been spent training the staff both back of house and front of house. Blend has a strong ethic of training from within and therefore many of our staff have had time spent with them teaching them the trade. We were soon joined by Simon our Head Chef who has been the inspiration behind the wide variety and quality of the menu, Simon especially has worked hard with the kitchen staff passing on his skills and passion. We have given two of our trainee chefs and two front of house staff the opportunity to take part in an NVQ training programme with the belief that investment in staff is the key to the ongoing success of an organisation.
